According to Putin, the same European leaders who spent years trashing Trump and bending over backward for Biden will soon be “wagging their tails” at Trump’s feet. And let’s face it, that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
In a recent interview with a Russian outlet, Putin pointed out that European elites adored Biden because he was weak, easy to manipulate, and always willing to put their interests above America’s. They were more than happy to meddle in U.S. politics to try and stop Trump from winning. But now that Trump is back in charge, they’re suddenly realizing they might actually have to take responsibility for their own defense and economies. Imagine that.
Putin went even further, saying that while these leaders might dislike Trump on a personal level, they actually support many of his policies. He even mentioned Trump’s stance on gender issues as an example of where the Republican leader has better ideas than Biden. That’s an interesting point, considering how much of the Western world has been consumed by radical leftist ideology over the past few years.
“They just don’t like Trump. They forgot him actively, really interfered in political life, in the election process of the United States,” Putin said. “And then they were confused when Trump suddenly won. But I assure you, Trump with his character, persistence, he will restore order pretty quickly. And all of them, you’ll see, it will happen quickly, soon, all of them will stand at the master’s feet and gently wag their tails.”
If that quote sounds familiar, it’s because we’ve seen this dynamic play out before. During Trump’s first term, European leaders tried to play tough—complaining about his America First policies, criticizing him for demanding NATO countries pay their fair share, and whining about tariffs. But at the end of the day, they all fell in line because Trump gets results.
His NATO pressure campaign worked. Countries that had been freeloading off the U.S. military for decades suddenly found the money to invest in their own defense. His trade policies forced better deals for American workers. And his tough stance on China and illegal immigration made it clear that the U.S. would no longer be the world’s doormat.
So yes, expect Europe to complain, protest, and virtue signal about Trump’s return. But also expect them to obey—because they know they don’t have a choice. America is back, and Trump is running the show again.
