President Trump Gives Blunt Warning to Canada and Mexico for This Weekend

President Trump is dropping the hammer on trade once again, and this time, Canada and Mexico are in the crosshairs. On Thursday night, Trump announced that his sweeping 25% tariff on goods from both countries will take effect in just 48 hours. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s still considering slapping tariffs on their oil exports as well.

“We may or may not,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office when asked about including oil in the new import taxes. “We’re going to make that determination probably tonight.”

Translation: They better play fair, or they’re going to feel the pain.

Unlike the weak, globalist politicians before him, Trump understands that America holds all the cards when it comes to trade. Canada and Mexico rely heavily on selling their goods to the United States, and if they think they can keep undercutting American workers while allowing illegal immigration and fentanyl smuggling to continue unchecked, they’ve got another thing coming.

“This tariff will remain in effect until such time as drugs, in particular fentanyl, and all illegal aliens stop this invasion of our country!” Trump declared.

Absolutely right. For far too long, Canada and Mexico have turned a blind eye to the criminal networks using their borders to smuggle deadly drugs into the United States. Meanwhile, American workers have been getting ripped off by unfair trade deals that favor foreign industries over our own. Trump is putting an end to it.

Predictably, the usual hand-wringers are warning that tariffs will hurt the U.S. economy. Trump isn’t buying it.

“We don’t need the products that they have,” he said. “We have all the oil you need. We have all the trees you need, meaning the lumber.”

Exactly. America has everything it needs to be energy independent, resource-rich, and economically dominant. The only thing stopping us? Weak leadership that refuses to stand up to foreign nations and globalist interests. Trump is making it clear: those days are over.

And he’s not stopping with Canada and Mexico. China, the world’s biggest fentanyl exporter and the mastermind behind years of economic warfare against America, is also in Trump’s sights.

“With China, I’m also thinking about something because they’re sending fentanyl into our country, and because of that, they’re causing us hundreds of thousands of deaths,” Trump said.

Trump has already proposed a 10% tariff on top of existing taxes on Chinese imports, and now he’s signaling that even more penalties could be on the way.

This is exactly why America needs Trump back in office. No more bowing to foreign interests. No more open borders. No more bad trade deals. America first, period.
