It all started when Ivanka visited the Eagles locker room this week and posted a series of photos on X (formerly Twitter), showing her trip and a handwritten note she left behind for Ricks: “Stopped by to say hi! Sorry to miss you! Go Birds!” The message was friendly, classy, and typical of Ivanka’s polished public persona.

Ricks had previously tweeted on April 28: “Donald Trump daughter is beautiful,” followed by a more pointed admission: “After seeing her in person, Ivanka is exactly my type.” Ivanka, clearly aware of the attention, responded to the cornerback’s post with a snapshot of her note and a playful comment: “Missed you today.”

Ricks, who joined the Eagles in 2023 as an undrafted free agent out of LSU and Alabama, appeared in seven games last season primarily on special teams. But after this exchange, he may be better known for shooting his shot on social media than anything he’s done on the field.
Fans had a field day with the flirtatious exchange. Some jokingly questioned how Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, might feel about the attention, while others expressed open envy that Ricks had drawn such a high-profile response from the former first daughter. As a person from Louisiana and a huge LSU fan I am happy to see that Eli has great taste.
