BREAKING: Trump Unveils New Federal Agency to Collect Tariffs from Foreign Nations!

In a bold and unexpected move, President-elect Trump announced the creation of a brand-new federal agency: the External Revenue Service (ERS). Set to launch on January 20, 2025, the ERS will focus on collecting tariffs, duties, and other revenue streams from foreign countries that Trump claims have been exploiting the U.S. economy for decades.

Trump made the announcement Tuesday morning on Truth Social, declaring it was time to shift the financial burden of funding the government off the backs of hardworking American taxpayers and onto foreign nations that have benefited from “soft and pathetically weak Trade agreements.” His post quickly gained traction, racking up over 66,000 likes and 18,000 “ReTruths” within hours.

Trump didn’t mince words in his post: “For far too long, we have relied on taxing our Great People using the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). It is time for that to change. I am today announcing that I will create the EXTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE to collect our Tariffs, Duties, and all Revenue that come from Foreign sources. We will begin charging those that make money off of us with Trade, and they will start paying, FINALLY, their fair share.”

This move is consistent with Trump’s long-standing America First trade philosophy. During his first term, he cracked down on unfair trade practices, renegotiated NAFTA into the USMCA, and imposed tariffs on countries like China. Now, with the ERS, Trump is doubling down. Countries like China, India, Mexico, and even Canada will be in the crosshairs. Trump specifically called out Canada for its alleged $100 billion trade surplus with the U.S., blaming weak trade deals that allowed foreign countries to profit while American workers suffered.

The ERS would reportedly enforce Trump’s proposed tariff increases: a 10% tariff on Chinese imports and a hefty 25% fee on products from Canada and Mexico, according to CNBC. Critics will undoubtedly scream about “trade wars,” but Trump’s supporters see this as long-overdue accountability for countries taking advantage of America’s generosity.

But that’s not all. Trump also reaffirmed his plan to launch the Department of Government Efficiency, co-led by none other than Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. This department will target waste, fraud, and abuse in federal spending—a mission that’s already attracting bipartisan support. In a surprising twist, Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) has even joined a congressional caucus to support the agency’s mission.

In typical Trump fashion, he ended his announcement with a promise to “Make America Great Again.” And if the ERS becomes reality, it could dramatically shift how the U.S. funds its government—finally putting America first and making foreign nations pay their fair share.
