President Trump didn’t mince words early Saturday morning—and who could blame him? As activist judges continue to undermine his immigration agenda with reckless abandon, the stakes for America’s future couldn’t be higher. This past week delivered a one-two punch of judicial sabotage that left Trump fuming and millions of Americans rightfully concerned about where this country is headed.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Fernando Rodriguez—a Trump appointee, no less—issued a permanent injunction blocking the administration from using the Alien Enemies Act (AEA) to deport Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador. Rodriguez argued the law only applies if the U.S. is officially at war or under armed attack. Funny, because if thousands of gang-affiliated foreign nationals pouring over our border doesn’t count as an attack, what exactly does?
But it got worse. On Tuesday, Judge Jennifer L. Thurston, a Biden appointee in California, handcuffed Border Patrol agents by ruling they can’t detain illegal immigrants unless they have a warrant or prove the individual is a flight risk. It’s hard to overstate the insanity of this. These are illegal entries—criminal by definition—and Thurston’s ruling essentially turns CBP into glorified observers.
And then came the bombshell. Investigative journalist Laura Loomer exposed that Judge Thurston’s husband, Marc, is a multifamily real estate broker in California—with illegal immigrants as clients. You don’t need to be a legal scholar to see the conflict of interest. Her ruling conveniently applies only to areas where her family profits off cheap, illegal labor. Judicial activism meets personal profit. Disgusting.
President Trump responded with a grim but honest warning: “Can it be so that Judges aren’t allowing the USA to Deport Criminals, including Murderers, out of our Country and back to where they came from? If this is so, our Country, as we know it, is finished!”
He added, “Americans will have to get used to a very different, crime filled, LIFE. This is not what our Founders had in mind!!!”
And he’s right. These black-robed tyrants—appointed or not—are making decisions that embolden violent criminals and tie the hands of our border agents. The people never voted for them. Yet they are dictating the future of national sovereignty.
It’s time for the Supreme Court to step up—or we risk losing the Republic our Founders fought to build.
If the Supreme Court won’t handle it, Congress needs to step up and write a law that rogue judges cannot overstep.
