Trump-Hating Insider Caught Selling Out America Over Politics

So here we are again — another day, another left-wing federal employee with a superiority complex caught trying to sell out the country because he’s got hurt feelings about President Trump. This time, it’s 28-year-old Nathan Vilas Laatsch, an IT specialist at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), who decided that his political disagreement with the sitting administration justified espionage. You can’t make this stuff up.

Laatsch, a civilian employee with Top Secret clearance working in the DIA’s Insider Threat Division — oh, the irony — was arrested in northern Virginia for attempting to hand over classified national defense information to a foreign government. And why did he do it? According to the DOJ, he didn’t “align with the values of this administration” and felt that gave him the moral green light to start transcribing national secrets onto notepads at his desk like he was prepping for a high school quiz.

This is what happens when federal agencies are staffed with activist ideologues instead of patriots. Laatsch didn’t just talk the talk — he walked right into a public park with a thumb drive full of classified data and left it there for what he thought was a foreign intelligence contact. In reality, it was an undercover FBI agent, who was probably struggling not to laugh at how blatant and clumsy the whole operation was. The thumb drive contained materials marked Secret and Top Secret, along with a charming note from Laatsch explaining he’d included a “decent sample size.” Thanks for the effort, buddy.

And get this — it wasn’t even about money. Nope. Laatsch wasn’t looking for cash. He wanted citizenship in the foreign country, because he didn’t think things in America were “going to improve.” Translation: Trump’s back, the adults are in the room, and this progressive couldn’t handle it.

Let’s just pause here. This man was trusted with some of the most sensitive information on the planet. He worked in insider threat detection, and yet he was the very threat we’re supposed to be protecting against. And all because he didn’t like the guy in the White House. This is what blind partisanship has done to our institutions.

Laatsch is just the latest example of how dangerous the deep-rooted anti-Trump rot is inside parts of our government. If a government employee is willing to betray their country over politics, they don’t need a desk — they need a prison cell.
