Jim Clyburn Claims Democrat Friendly Media Is What’s Killing Them

Congressman James Clyburn of South Carolina is back in the headlines, and this time he’s blaming the mainstream media for Democrats’ inability to connect with the American people. Clyburn went on MSNBC (of all places) to complain that the press isn’t doing enough to amplify the Democratic Party’s so-called “winning message.”

“I think the message that’s coming from the Democratic Party is a good message,” Clyburn claimed. “The problem we’ve got, honestly, is that we have to depend upon the media to deliver it.” He then went on to criticize outlets like The Washington Post for supposedly “caving to this wannabe dictator,” referring to President Trump.

So let’s get this straight: the same media machine that spent years peddling Russian collusion hoaxes, calling Trump a fascist, and cheerleading every Democrat initiative from open borders to student loan bailouts… is now too soft on Trump? Give me a break.

Clyburn praised MSNBC for being a safe space where he could air his grievances without challenge, which pretty much tells you all you need to know. “That’s why I like coming on your shows,” he told the host. “You do real, good, substantive reporting.” Translation: “You let me say whatever I want without pushing back.”

But then Clyburn took it a step further, claiming that what’s really “killing” Democrats is that “we don’t have a stomach for just lying.” This, from the party that told Americans inflation was “transitory,” that men can get pregnant, and that the border is “secure.”

Clyburn’s comments are a masterclass in gaslighting. The modern media landscape is overwhelmingly sympathetic to the Democratic Party. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and yes, even The Washington Post, have spent years carrying water for the Left, spinning narratives and burying stories that might make Democrats look bad. Just ask anyone who remembers how quickly the Hunter Biden laptop story was dismissed in 2020.

But none of this is new for Clyburn, who’s known for delivering wild soundbites with a straight face. Let’s not forget, he once said that Joe Biden would go down as one of the greatest presidents in American history. Right up there with Jimmy Carter, apparently. That tells you everything about his judgment.

The real problem isn’t media bias against Democrats—it’s that their “winning message” is a delusion that voters just aren’t buying.
