Sen. Mullin GOES OFF – Exposes Senators’ Affairs and Drinking Habits Amid Hegseth Smear!

Well, the fireworks certainly went off during Pete Hegseth’s confirmation hearing, and not in the way Democrats were hoping. What was supposed to be a serious evaluation of Hegseth’s qualifications for Secretary of Defense quickly turned into a political circus, complete with personal smears, baseless accusations, and more hypocrisy than a Hollywood climate change rally.

Democrats wasted no time digging into Hegseth’s personal life, dragging out old allegations of drinking, infidelity, and even ridiculous claims of misconduct. Because apparently, in their world, the best way to assess someone’s ability to defend the nation is to grill them about slang words and personal mistakes. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) actually spent his precious questioning time asking Hegseth what the term “jag off” meant. Seriously? This is the Senate Armed Services Committee, not an episode of Sesame Street.

Then there was Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA), stooping to new lows by not only dredging up Hegseth’s past infidelity but even bringing his daughter into it. Apparently, no line is too far for Democrats when it comes to character assassination. And Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) chimed in with questions about whether Hegseth would resign if he ever dared to sip a drink while in office. Give me a break.

But the real highlight was Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), who absolutely torched the Senate’s hypocrisy. Mullin called out his own colleagues, asking, “How many senators have shown up drunk to vote at night? How many senators do you know have gotten a divorce for cheating on their wives? Did you ask them to step down?” You could practically hear the crickets in the room after that. Mullin hit a nerve because he’s right—these senators love holding others to standards they can’t even meet themselves.

And let’s be honest: Democrats had no problem fast-tracking Lloyd Austin as Secretary of Defense, despite him stepping off the Raytheon board—a clear conflict of interest. But now they’re clutching their pearls over Hegseth? Please. It’s obvious this hearing wasn’t about qualifications; it was about political bloodsport.

Chairman Roger Wicker (R-MS) even pointed out that Hegseth has led and supervised more people than most U.S. senators ever have. But facts don’t matter when the goal is to smear a Trump ally who prioritizes merit over the Democrats’ beloved Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda.

And through it all, Hegseth remained composed, praising his wife for standing by him and showing more grace than his accusers deserved. Mullin summed it up perfectly: “We’ve all made mistakes. I’ve made mistakes.” Exactly. This relentless character assassination is nothing more than political theater.

At the end of the day, Democrats don’t fear that Hegseth is unqualified—they fear that he is qualified and won’t play by their rules. He represents a shift away from the woke, bureaucratic rot that’s been infecting the military. And that terrifies them.
