New Amendment Could Give Trump A Path To A Third Term In The White House

Well, here we go again—the left is in full meltdown mode after Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) introduced a constitutional amendment that could open the door for President Trump to serve a third term in the White House. And honestly, why shouldn’t he? After four years of disastrous Biden policies, America could use another dose of strong, no-nonsense leadership.

Ogles’ amendment would allow a president to serve three terms as long as they aren’t consecutive, meaning Trump could take another shot at 2028. This setup mirrors the Grover Cleveland scenario—who, by the way, was the only president before Trump to win non-consecutive terms. But let’s be real: Cleveland didn’t exactly have Trump’s charisma, success, or ability to send the media into a tailspin with a single post.

The proposed amendment reads: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms…” In other words, Trump could theoretically make a comeback if this somehow made it through Congress—though that’s about as likely as Joe Biden remembering what day it is.

Predictably, the usual suspects in the media are clutching their pearls over the idea. Every time President Trump jokes about a third term, they go into full-blown hysteria. Remember the Truth Social meme? The one that showed campaign signs reading “Trump 2024, Trump 2028, Trump 2032” and beyond? Classic. The left lost their minds, but Trump was just having fun—as usual.

And while Trump’s been crystal clear that he’s not interested in pushing for a third term—telling Time magazine last year that he intends to serve four years and “do a great job”—that hasn’t stopped the media from running wild with the idea. During a post-election meeting with GOP lawmakers, Trump joked, “I suspect I won’t be running again, unless you do something.” Cue the media freakout. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-OK) had to clarify to the press that, yes, it was clearly a joke—but let’s be honest, they never let facts get in the way of a good panic attack.

At the end of the day, Ogles’ proposal is more symbolic than anything. Amending the Constitution isn’t exactly a walk in the park. But it does send a clear message: Trump’s influence isn’t going anywhere, and the America First movement is alive and well. Whether the left likes it or not, Trump’s legacy—and maybe even his future—remains front and center.
