Marjorie Taylor Greene has been busy lighting herself on fire for months, but now she seems determined to drag the flames straight toward President Trump. At this point it is less a feud and more an increasingly desperate performance. On Monday she took things to another level during a press conference with Thomas Massie and progressive mascot Ro Khanna, where the trio promoted their Epstein Files Transparency Act. The House is expected to vote on it after their discharge petition hit 218 signatures. That part is fine. What Greene did next is what turned the whole event into a spectacle.
When it was her turn at the microphone, she skipped the serious business and got straight to settling personal scores. She whined about President Trump calling her a traitor, something he said after months of her complaining, grandstanding and playing footsie with Democrats for attention. She said, “I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for five, no, actually six years for. He called me a traitor for standing with these women and refusing to take my name off the discharge petition.” Then she decided to go further. “Let me tell you what a traitor is. A traitor is an American who serves foreign countries and themselves.”
Marjorie Taylor Green says she’s not a traitor, but a patriot.
She also says she’s had a “small taste” of fear and intimidation.
What do you think her goal is? Just to get the release of the files…or more?

If that is not a clear attempt to smear President Trump as some foreign serving villain, it is hard to imagine what else she meant. She knew exactly what she was doing. She wanted the headline. And she got it.
This came days after President Trump withdrew his endorsement and finally said what millions of MAGA voters have been thinking for months. He said he was tired of Greene’s constant complaints, especially after he warned her she should not bother running for senator or governor. He also gave her the nickname Marjorie Traitor Greene, which clearly struck a nerve because she has been melting down ever since.
Greene responded by claiming the real reason behind Trump’s decision was the Epstein files and painting herself as some brave crusader standing up to the most powerful people in the world. She even suggested Trump was egging on violence against her. And then came the moment that sealed just how far off course she has drifted. She openly cozied up to the same Democrats who tried to destroy her career. The same crowd that smeared her, censured her, and tried to run her out of Congress. Now she is treating them like allies because she thinks it hurts Trump.
The truth is simple. Greene built her entire base on President Trump’s coattails. She enjoyed the spotlight he gave her. And now that he has finally had enough, she is lashing out in every direction, hoping someone will still pay attention. The Epstein bill may advance, but Greene’s credibility is sinking fast.
