Man Wins Free Beer After Reporting Democrat to ICE

Free beer has motivated Americans to do plenty of things over the years, but Old State Saloon in Idaho might have discovered the most patriotic use of it yet. They rolled out a promotion offering a full month of free beer to anyone who gives ICE information that leads to the arrest of an illegal alien. Naturally, this caused a meltdown in some circles, because nothing sends certain people into panic mode faster than citizens actually cooperating with law enforcement.

The bar posted the offer on X and the post caught fire. Even the DHS X account chimed in, which tells you this was not your average small town stunt. And sure enough, it did not take long before someone stepped up and claimed the prize. A man named Ryan Spoon submitted information to ICE that led to the arrest of an illegal immigrant working for a state representative. That is about as Idaho as a story can get. ICE showed up at the family farm and the rest is history.

What makes this even more interesting is the response from Rep. Stephanie Mickelsen, the employer in question. She was furious, not at the fact that she had an illegal worker with a criminal background on her farm, but at the idea that someone actually reported it. According to Idaho News 6, Spoon pointed out that Mickelsen has openly defended hiring illegal aliens. The man in question was not some harmless farmhand. According to Spoon, he had already been arrested during the Biden Administration for domestic battery. The report said he choked his wife in front of their daughter, and meth was found in his wallet. Quite the résumé.

Mickelsen tried to downplay everything by saying she believed he had a legal visa. She even suggested the saloon’s promotion was despicable. Then she tossed in the predictable accusation about targeting people based on skin color. That is the go to line whenever someone gets uncomfortable with their own hiring practices becoming public knowledge.

Meanwhile a lot of regular Americans think this promotion is brilliant. Imagine that, rewarding citizens for helping law enforcement do the job that Washington keeps pretending is impossible. If anything, it shines a light on how many communities are tired of being told to ignore illegal activity happening right in front of them.

Old State Saloon tapped into something real. People are fed up with being lectured while the system looks the other way. If offering a month of cold beer motivates citizens to help ICE clean up the mess, that says more about the state of the country than anything Mickelsen complained about.
