It’s about time someone put some respect on President Trump’s name, and Oklahoma is leading the way. A new bill, Senate Bill 1105, aims to make November 5th “President Donald J. Trump Day”—a well-deserved recognition of the greatest political comeback in American history.

The bill, authored by Senator Dana Prieto (R-Tulsa), would officially mark the day as a holiday in Oklahoma, commemorating Trump’s second-term election victory. Now, before the left starts hyperventilating—no, this wouldn’t be a day off for state employees. It’s purely symbolic, but it sends a clear message: Trump’s impact on America is here to stay.
And this isn’t just a one-state effort. Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (R-NY) is pushing to make Trump’s birthday a federal holiday, pairing it with Flag Day on June 14th—because what could be more patriotic than celebrating America and its greatest modern leader on the same day? Tenney’s bill, the Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day Holiday Establishment Act, aims to give Trump the same national recognition as George Washington. Given what Trump has done for the economy, foreign policy, and restoring American strength, it’s well-deserved.
Now, let’s be real—if we can have “Indigenous Peoples’ Day” (a leftist rebrand of Columbus Day) and “Cesar Chavez Day”, then why on earth wouldn’t we have a day dedicated to the man who reshaped American politics, revived the economy, and put the Deep State on notice? The left constantly elevates figures that push their globalist agenda, but the second conservatives try to honor a leader who fought for working-class Americans, the media loses its mind.
Oklahoma has already shown its Trump loyalty before. Back in 2021, Governor Kevin Stitt signed a bill naming a 20-mile stretch of highway as “President Donald J. Trump Highway”. So this latest move isn’t exactly shocking—Oklahoma remains deep red and proudly pro-Trump.
The Senate Retirement and Government Resources Committee has already passed SB 1105 by a 6-2 vote, and now it heads to the full Senate. If approved, November 5th will forever be known as the day America rejected the establishment and re-elected its rightful leader.

If the left can idolize Barack Obama—who left America weaker, poorer, and more divided—then it’s only fair that we honor the man who actually put America First. Oklahoma’s on the right track, and if other states have any sense, they’ll follow suit.
