On Monday’s episode of The Five, Greg Gutfeld did what almost no one on the left is willing to do right now. He told the truth, plainly, and without pretending that reckless behavior magically becomes noble when it is wrapped in activism.
Gutfeld was talking about the ongoing protests against ICE and the fantasy world many of these activists live in, where federal law enforcement is treated like an invading army and people interfering with agents are cast as heroes. He zeroed in on the case of Renee Good, who was shot by an ICE agent last week after attempting to obstruct an operation. Rather than sanctify the behavior, Gutfeld asked a question the left desperately avoids. What would you say if this person was your sister?
🚨 BREAKING: Greg Gutfeld just dropped a MAJOR TRUTH NUKE on every leftist defending anti-ICE agitators and terrorists
"YOU are living a LIE!"
"What are your plans today? She goes, 'I plan on filming myself harassing and impeding armed law enforcement.'"
"So how would you… pic.twitter.com/XGP22mqqHT

He walked through the scenario step by step. Your sister tells you she plans to spend the day filming herself harassing and impeding armed law enforcement. She has kids. She drops them off at daycare. She is not working. And instead of handling responsibilities, she plans to stalk federal officers. Gutfeld pointed out the obvious. No sane family member would cheer that on. You would ask if she was thinking clearly. You would ask about her kids. You would ask why she is not focusing on her own life instead of playing activist.
That is where Gutfeld landed the punch. If you deny that is how you would respond privately, you are lying to yourself to protect your public virtue. The performative empathy collapses the moment real consequences appear. Nobody would say “you go girl” if their loved one chose confrontation with armed agents over caring for their family. You would say she needs help. You would say she needs an intervention.
Gutfeld also raised a point that deserves far more attention. The activist groups that train people to interfere with ICE should be sued for wrongful death. They encourage dangerous behavior, hype it as heroic, then disappear when someone gets hurt. That is not compassion. That is exploitation.
What makes all of this even more ridiculous is the selective memory at play. ICE did not appear out of nowhere when President Trump took office. ICE existed long before him and carried out the same duties under Barack Obama. Deportations, raids, and enforcement were routine back then. The difference now is the theater.
These protesters want to believe they are freedom fighters. In reality, many are people neglecting their own responsibilities to chase internet clout and moral validation. Gutfeld’s message cut through the noise. This is not bravery. It is unhealthy behavior, and pretending otherwise is how people get hurt.
