It looks like the long-awaited accountability for the architects of the Russiagate hoax might finally be picking up steam, and it’s happening deep in the heart of South Florida, not Washington, DC.
On Friday, Fox News dropped a bombshell: a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Florida has subpoenaed none other than former CIA Director John Brennan, disgraced former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, and fired counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok. Yes, the very same trio that helped cook up the Trump-Russia collusion narrative that gripped the country for years and wasted millions in taxpayer dollars.
This investigation is being run by U.S. Attorney Jason Reding Quiñones, and it appears he isn’t playing around. According to law enforcement sources, as many as 30 subpoenas are expected to be issued in the coming days. The scope? The origins of “Crossfire Hurricane,” the code name for the FBI’s 2016 probe into alleged ties between President Trump’s campaign and Russia, a probe that turned out to be based on lies, leaks, and political payback.
Let’s talk about Strzok and Page for a second. They weren’t just biased, they were the embodiment of everything wrong with a weaponized bureaucracy. Strzok famously texted Page about an “insurance policy” to stop Trump from becoming president. Remember this beauty? “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office… that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected… but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk.” These weren’t off-the-cuff comments. These were deliberate conversations by FBI officials actively involved in an investigation against a presidential candidate they hated.
Brennan, for his part, has already been referred for prosecution not once, but twice, first by former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe and more recently by House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan. The referral accuses Brennan of knowingly lying during a 2023 interview with Congress. And let’s not forget former FBI Director James Comey is also under investigation.
This isn’t just about revenge. It’s about restoring integrity to institutions that were abused for political gain. These were not clerical errors or policy disagreements. This was a deliberate attempt to frame a sitting president and overturn the results of a democratic election.
If justice is ever going to mean anything in this country again, these people need to be held accountable. Subpoenas are just the start, the American people deserve indictments, trials, and answers.
