California Senator Adam Schiff just can’t seem to catch a break. After years of trying (and failing) to take down President Trump, Schiff found himself in the headlines this week for something a little more… embarrassing. Appearing in a video with a noticeable bump on his forehead, Schiff sheepishly admitted he had a “really dumb” accident. But, of course, the internet had other ideas.
The California senator, best known for his non-stop Trump-bashing, attempted to focus on the president’s latest executive orders, but all anyone could talk about was the lump on his head. Naturally, social media exploded with jokes and speculation—because if there’s one thing people love, it’s a good Schiff meme.
Then came Trump. Never one to miss an opportunity, the 47th president was asked about Schiff’s comments and, in classic Trump fashion, delivered a line that had the crowd in stitches: “I was told that Schiff was going to travel with us to California. I wasn’t thrilled, to be honest with you. And I saw him last night on television. It looks like he got hit with a baseball bat or something.” Savage.

Schiff was invited to join Trump and Senator Alex Padilla in Los Angeles to survey wildfire damage, but—shocker—he declined, citing a busy Senate schedule. A spokesperson for Schiff said he “welcomes” Trump’s support for federal disaster aid, but let’s be real, Schiff and Trump in the same room? That would have been must-see TV.
As Trump toured the wildfire zones, he took the opportunity to point out the obvious: California’s poor forest management and restrictive environmental policies have made these fires worse. “This could have been put out if they let the water flow,” Trump said, doubling down on his stance that the state’s leadership is part of the problem.
Schiff, meanwhile, is still trying to stay relevant. He recently introduced legislation aimed at preventing a president from dismissing criminal prosecutions against themselves—clearly aimed at Trump. But let’s be honest, after years of Schiff’s theatrics, Americans have tuned him out. The same guy who led the failed Russia hoax and impeachment debacles is still trying to stay in the game, but Trump continues to run circles around him.
At the end of the day, Trump once again managed to turn Schiff’s latest misstep into a punchline, leaving the senator with more than just a bruised ego. It’s just another reminder that Schiff may be persistent, but Trump is always a step ahead.
A detestable “human being.” If Schiff was not a moron, he would be NOTHING.
